We don't fight for victory. We fight from victory.
The work is already done. 2,000 years ago.

Second Man · Jesus
From the earth. A living soul. Lost what the whole human race had.
From heaven. A life-giving Spirit. Restores what Adam lost, for all.
In Adam, born once. All die.
In Christ, born again. All made alive.
The fallen race continues in sin and death.
Jesus is the Last Adam. Ends the fallen race, begins a new creation.
Key Truths

You are not a sinner because of what you do

Man is not lost because of acts of sin. He is lost because of what he is. That is why you must be born again, changed in what you are, not just what you do.

Salvation is what Jesus did, not what you did

He has already qualified you. Not "he will qualify." Past tense. Finished. You are already approved before God.

The gospel is not DO, it is DONE

"It is finished." Jesus said it on the cross. Stop adding your brushstrokes to a completed masterpiece.

You are bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh

Genesis 2 foreshadows Christ and the church. Eve taken from Adam's side is the church taken out of Christ. You are one with him.

The only one who can condemn you is yourself

God justifies. The devil has been judged. Christ intercedes. Your only enemy is your own unbelief.

Scripture Chain
Romans 5:18 to 19

One transgression brought condemnation to all. One act of righteousness brought justification of life to all.

Colossians 1

"He has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light."

Ephesians 5:30 to 32

We are members of Christ's body. "This mystery is great. I speak concerning Christ and the church."

Ministry of condemnation versus ministry of righteousness. The latter abounds in far greater glory.

Who will bring a charge against God's elect? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

The Holy Spirit's Conviction · John 16:8 to 11
He convicts of three things, not one
Sin
Because they do not believe. The one sin the Spirit convicts of is unbelief, not a list of wrong acts.
Righteousness
Because Jesus went to the Father. Work is done. The Spirit convinces you that you are right before God.
Judgment
Because the ruler of this world has been judged. The devil has no authority over your life anymore.

In Adam

Born again. In the Spirit. New creation. Righteous by grace. Fights from victory. Gospel.

The message is not achieve.
The message is believe.

Trust what God has already done inside you and let it flow through you.
